Authentication Service for documents from Jamaica

   All documents from Jamaica should be Authenticated/legalized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of Chinain Jamaica if to be used in China.

Documents to be Submitted

1. One duly completed and signed Authentication Application Form (two places on the back page, by the applicant himself/herself, should be the original signature instead of a printed one). You can download at:

2. The document to be authenticated, submit both the original and a complete set of photocopy(copy both sides, include the signature and stamp page from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica). Original document must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica beforehand.

3. For individual documents, please provide one passport/driver license copy of the applicant(Chinese applicants should provide Chinese passport and residence); for corporate documents, please provide a cover letter and one passport/ driver license copy of the legal representative of the company.

4. If your application is submitted by an agent, please complete Section 8 on the application form and include one copy of the agents' passport/driver license.

5. Other supporting documents a consular officer may request.

NOTE:

1. Please make sure you have followed the all the steps required for authentication before submitting your document to the Chinese Embassy for final legalization.

2. Your document must be authentic, intact and legitimate. The Embassy will NOT authenticate a document that contains illegal contents under Chinese laws or may cause potential threats to China's national or public interests.

3. A document containing two or more pages must be bound properly and securely, with sealing wax or paging seal/embossed seal to ensure the integrity of the document. The Embassy will NOT authenticate a document if it is found illegitimate, or in any way forged, counterfeited, fraudulent or altered.

4. Single affidavits/certificates intended to be used for marriage registration in China and certain adoption documents regarding marital status, health status, or criminal records are only valid for six months from the date of issuance. The Embassy will NOT authenticate a document if it becomes invalid.

 Civil Document:

 Jamaican applicants 1600 JMD per signature 

 Chinese applicants 950 JMD per signature 

 Non-Jamaican applicants 2800JMD per signature;




 Commercial Document:

 Jamaican company 1600 JMD per signature

Chinese company 1600 JMD per signature 

 Non-Jamaican company 5600 JMD per signature. 

Methods of Payment
1. You must pay your authentication fee upon collection of your documents.
2. Acceptable methods of payment are: credit card ( Discover,Mastercard,Diners  Club International,Visa etc. Keycard cannot be used).
3. Cash, personal check or online payment is NOT accepted.
