Chinese Embassy Donates Office Equipment to JCF

On February 2, the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica donated office equipment to Jamaica Constabulary Force at a ceremony held at the brand new JCF Emergency Centre on Old Hope Road, Kingston.

Addressing the party, Ambassador Niu Qingbao commended the JCF for its efforts to reign in crimes and commitment to providing safe environment for Chinese community and Chinese enterprises. The Chinese community, for its part, has contributed by co-sponsoring a QR code scanning system to enhance police patrol in commercial areas of downtown Kingston. Ambassador Niu donated a printer and an air conditioner to help improve the working condition of some police officers. Ambassador Niu further promised to partner with JCF in its capacity building.

Acting Commissioner of Police Clifford Blake thanked the Embassy for its generous donation and said that the police would love to deepen cooperation to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and enterprises as well as the wider community.

The ceremony was hosted by Bishop Gary Welsh, Assistant Commissioner of Police and attended by Fan Jianghong, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy, Elfreda Roache, Superintendent of Police Emergency Communication Centre and a few dozens of police officers.
