Ambassador TIAN Qi Presented Credentials to Governor General of Jamaica


On April 3, H.E. Mr. TIAN Qi, Ambassador designated of China to Jamaica, presented Credentials to His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, Governor General of Jamaica, in King's House.


Ambassador TIAN Qi briefed the achievements of newly concluded "Two Sessions" of China's National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Speaking highly of the development of China-Jamaica relations, Ambassador TIAN commended the important role that Governor General has been playing and expressed his commitment to pushing forward China-Jamaica cooperation and friendship.   


His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen congratulated President XI Jinping on his successful re-election and extended his warm welcome to Ambassador TIAN, reaffirming that both he and the Government of Jamaica attach great importance to Jamaica-China relations and will support Ambassador TIAN to further advance bilateral relations.

Ambassador TIAN Qi arrived in Jamaica to take on his post on March 19 and
presented Copy of Credentials to Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica on March 21.
