Ambassador Tian Qi Met CIIE Jamaican Delegation
On October 12th, 2018, H.E. Ambassador Tian Qi met the Jamaican delegation who will attend the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) during November 5 to 10, 2018 in Shanghai, including Hon. Daryl Vaz, the head of the delegation, Minister without Portfolio, Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Hon. Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture And Fisheries, President of JAMPRO, Jamaica Special Economic Zone Authority, and Jamaica Trade Facilitation Task Force etc.


Ambassador Tian Qi pointed out that it is a significant move for the Chinese government to implement Chinese President Xi Jinping's initiative in the new era. CIIE will demonstrate China's firm support for trade liberalization and economic globalization and strong determination to open the Chinese market. It will facilitate countries and regions all over the world to strengthen economic cooperation and trade, and will promote global trade and economic growth.


Minister Vaz extended his sincere gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for its support to the Jamaican delegation. And he highlighted the sound relationship between China and Jamaica. He believes that the Jamaican side will have a fruitful trip in China.
